"Enlightenment, peace and joy will not be granted by someone else. The well is within you and if we dig deeply in the present moment, the water will spring forth." -Thich Nhat Hanh
Since 2002, Peaceful Heart Sangha has welcomed those who share the desire to practice mindful living. Our Zen practice is rooted in the teachings of the Plum Village Tradition of Engaged Buddhism and Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, who is often lovingly called "Thay" (pronounced "tie"), which means "teacher" in Vietnamese.
About our weekly practice:
We meet weekly, in person, on Zoom, and in a hybrid format. Join our email list (below) to get the details.
For the first hour we enjoy sitting and walking meditation.
In the second hour, we have, mindful tea, a reading, and dharma sharing.
Dharma sharing helps us benefit from each other's insights, experiences, joys, difficulties, and questions.
We offer weekly practice on a donation basis.
For questions or to join our email list for info about the weekly practice, retreats, and related announcements, contact Paul at[email protected], or Viviane, 970-222-5590. When requesting to join, let us know why you are interested attending our group, and any experience you have with meditation and Zen practice, and the Plum Village tradition.
