"Enlightenment, peace and joy will not be granted by someone else. The well is within you and if we dig deeply in the present moment, the water will spring forth." -Thich Nhat Hanh
Peaceful Heart Sangha welcomes all who share the desire to practice mindful living. Our practice is rooted in Zen Buddhism and follows the teachings of Plum Village and Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh who is often lovingly called "Thay" (pronounced "tie"), which means "teacher" in Vietnamese.
About our weekly practice:
We meet on Sundays from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in person, on Zoom and in a hybrid format. Join our email list (below) to get the details of our meeting format for any given Sunday.
For the first hour we enjoy sitting and walking meditation.
In the second hour, we have, mindful tea, a reading, and dharma sharing.
Dharma sharing helps us benefit from each other's insights, experiences, joys, difficulties, and questions.
