"Enlightenment, peace and joy will not be granted by someone else. The well is within you and if we dig deeply in the present moment, the water will spring forth." -Thich Nhat Hanh
Peaceful Heart Sangha is a place for personal insight and fellowship in the practice of mindfulness. We welcome all who share the desire to practice mindful living. Our practice is rooted in Zen Buddhism and follows the teachings of Plum Village and Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh who is often lovingly called "Thay" (pronounced "tie"), which means "teacher" in Vietnamese.
About our meetings:
We meet on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sundays of each month
We take the 4th Sunday off
From 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm
At Congregation Har Shalom: 725 West Drake Road in Fort Collins
Our practice includes sitting and walking meditation, mindful eating and drinking, and dharma discussion based on the Five Mindfulness Trainings
Dharma discussion allows us to benefit from each other's insights and share our experiences, joys, difficulties, and questions
